The presented study reveals the theoretical prerequisites for expediency of applying personally oriented and pragmatic approaches to integrated learning English special purposes, in particular, when studying learner needs future journalists. necessity explore specific field professionally communication (POEC) journalists is determined by requirement adapt language policy higher education institutions accordance with demands interrelated vocational professional training a specialist. formation secondary English-speaking personality journalist depends on support communicative interaction at classes; strengthening conscious learning; providing journalism contextualized input; development POEC skills; compliance social cultural norms English-language intercultural tolerance. Understanding specifics facilitated involvement linguistic categories pragmatics context foreign learning, especially purposes (ESP) journalists, where dimension equally significant as cognitive one.
